Why is Shaheen Shah Afridi married for the second time to Ansha?

The news surfaced late Friday evening, September 8, that great Pakistani bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will remarry at the end of the Asia Cup 2023. The six-nation tournament culminates on September 17 in Colombo, and Shaheen will enter the nuptial chamber with wife Ansha just two days later. Ansha Afridi is the daughter of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi. The pair married in February of this year.

According to sources, Shaheen and Ansha’s second marriage will take place on September 19. Shaheen posted the images to his Instagram account. Shahid Afridi, Shahid’s father-in-law, had also shared the photos. However, the second round of marriage has yet to be verified.

Why is Shaheen remarrying Ansha?

Shaheen and Ansha married in February according to traditional Afridi tribal rites. Only family members and close friends attended the wedding. Some of Shaheen’s closest friends from the Pakistan cricket team attended the wedding, including captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, and Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Understandably, the couple is remarrying in order to celebrate in a better and larger manner. This wedding will take place in Karachi and will include a Barat ceremony. Not to mention, on September 21, there will be a private wedding reception in Islamabad.

There will be no honeymoon for Shaheen and Ansha

Shaheen and Ansha will not have a honeymoon after their second marriage on September 19. The Pakistani pacer will travel to India to compete in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The tournament kicks off on October 5 with a match between New Zealand and England. Pakistan will face the Netherlands in their opening encounter on October 6 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Shaheen will be crucial to Pakistan’s victory in both the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup in 2023. He is well-known for his first-over accomplishments. He was brilliant in the first round of the Asia Cup against India, taking four wickets. Babar will be hoping that his top pacer performs well again in the Super 4 match on September 10 in Colombo. India will also face Pakistan in the ODI World Cup. On October 14, the two arch-rivals will clash at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium. The race to get tickets for this match is so intense that tickets on the black market are being auctioned for Rs 50 lakh.
